Abstract

CLAROS COCA, Zenia  and  CLAROS COCA, Eliana.   Production of the area of Health Sciences - SciELO Bolivia, management 2009-2017. Gac Med Bol [online]. 2018, vol.41, n.1, pp.14-19. ISSN 1012-2966.

Objetive: to evaluate the production of the subject of Health Sciences in SciELO-Bolivia during the 2009 to 2017 administrations. Methods: descriptive bibliometric study, the sample was made up of the three current journals that the subject Health Sciences: Gaceta Médica Boliviana, Revista Científica Ciencia Médica y Revista Médica La Paz. The data was processed and analyzed in Excel®. Results: a total of 841 articles were published, highlighting that 34,2% were original articles, 20,2% clinical cases and 9% review articles. In the joint analysis of original articles, clinical cases and review articles, there were a total of 533 publications, 452 were of Bolivian origin, 305 were elaborated in health services, and in 228 a public university was mentioned in the affiliation. Original articles and clinical cases consisted mostly of two to fourauthors with 10 to 15 references, review articles of one to two authors with more than 20 references. Conclusions: the journals of the subject of Health Sciences in SciELO Bolivia are oriented towards the objectives of SciELO Bolivia, the same that will be reached mainly with the joint work of authors, universities and hospitals.
