Objectives: To analyze the relationship between measured IQ test by Goodenough and child nutritional status Township Munucipio Vinto-Quillacollo Cochabamba during the management II-2012. Methods: An observational study was performed, qualitative and quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional, by anthropometric assessment of school-age children, AntrhoPlusv1 .0.04 analyzed by the software; and assessment by standardized IQ test Goodenough, in 648 children aged 5 to 13 years selected by random cluster sampling. Results: Prevalence of Chronic Malnutrition z -TE < 2SD = 22.6% was determined ; BMI <-2 SD = 1.2%. The mean chronological age was 9,015 ± 2,185; and mental age was 9,013 ± 2,186. The mean IQ was 100.24 ± 7.10. Covariance for the correlation between IQ and nutritional status was COVAR = 3.588 with correlation index R2 = 0.5941. Conclusions: The relationship between nutritional status and level of IQ is directly proportional and statistically significant.
