ABSTRACT The arterial dissections, so many extra cranial like intracranial, are a pathology that with the advent of new and more advanced forms of imagenology, they have increased progressively in frequency, which forces to his major comprehension. This forces us to handle of better form this disease, so much from the point of view etiopatogénic, like his clinic dominates and to suspect his presence, to apply the most suitable diagnostic means, and to proceed to his immediate therapy, which so much of the point of view of the medical intensive therapy, as the surgical one and endovascular, they are in full development, and frequently they must take decisions I marry for case. These are the basic concepts, and more updated, that are exposed in this one review.
