This is a work done in the two most important centers that receive patients with this kind of pathology in Cochabamba, IGBJ and CNS. The IGBJ reports 67 cases treated between January 2000 and December 2005 and the CNS 64 cases from January 1990 and December 2005. It was analyzed variables such as age, sex, family history, signs and symptoms, time of evolution of the inmoral process in the colon, associated conditions, positive tumor markers percentage, complementary work up such as ultrasound, chest x ray, barium enema, computerized tomography (CT) sean and virtual colonoscopy. From a total of 131 cases, 98% was adenocarcinoma, 66% well differentiated, 20% undifferentiated carcinoma and 13% mucinous carcinoma. In relation with the staging of the tumor we didnt find cases within grade A of Duke's classification. 41% was within grade B and 59% within grade C. This is related to poor prognosis of our patients. The surgical management was Mile's procedure, low anterior resection, right or left hemicolectomy, transverse colectomy, just a biopsy or no surgical procedure. We registered 88% patients that received adjuvant treatment with chemotlierapx, radiotherapy or combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
