ABSTRACT This research is aimed for obtaining boric acid by reaction between ulexite and carbón dioxide (CO₂), replacing the traditionally used sulfuric acid. The carbón dioxide when dissolved in water produces carbonic acid which reacts with the ulexite affording boric acid. This research was carried out at the laboratory, a way to validate the technical feasibility of the proposed method and to obtain a physicochemical design, equilibrium and reaction data
