Abstract

The article analyzes the participation of women from the Integrated Association of Agricultural Producers of La Cascada (AIPAC), which is located in the town center of La Cascada (Municipality of Palos Blancos, Province of Sud Yungas in the department of La Paz, Bolivia), in the Café Mujer Project, with the purpose of knowing the factors that influenced women to abandon the project. The data were obtained through participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The theoretical support comes from the focus on women in development, within which is the Café Mujer Project. The article analyzes the characteristics of the project and the causes that led to its closure.
