This essay is an account of how I did my Sociology undergraduate thesis at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés. As a chronicle and social theory, I explore the phases my thesis went through, from the beginning to the end. Finally, I examine the implications and limitations of the participant observation technique based on the proposal of the participating body from the theorization and immersion of the researcher’s cognitive body, and the effects that this produces at the subjective level, in the relationship with the subjects. research and after completion of the thesis.
