The article focuses on the use of the Aymara, Quechua and Spanish languages in spaces the ayllu Sikuya and the city of Llallagua (Oruro, Bolivia) from an ethnographic focus, we explain the functions of these languages in both places. The article reveals that native languages are not entrenched in rural spaces, but rather like their users, they are constantly on the move. They are between the rural and the urban, fulfilling socially assigned roles.
