In this article, we analyze the relationships between secondary schooling, higher education and work in the construction of projects for the future among young and adult horticulturists who are members of families of migrant origin in the peri-urban area of La Plata (Prov. de Buenos Aires; Argentina). From an historical and ethnographic focus, we analyze everyday practices, reconstructing them within the framework of territorial structures which legitimize certain projects above others.Keywords: education, projects of future, work, migrant horticulturists, La Plata
