Abstract

MAZUREK, Hubert. Bolivia in search of its urban policy. Temas Sociales [online]. 2020, n.47, pp.132-162. ISSN 0040-2915.

Bolivia is becoming an urban country, maintaining, however, a focus on the rural, indigenous and peasant world. Governments are trying to set up an urban policy based mainly on international recommendations, such as the Quito summit, Habitat III. The result does not live up to expectations, as it is a new political field. This article proposes a reflection on urban policy in Bolivia, starting from the peculiarities of Bolivian urbanism in an attempt to integrate today's challenges.

Keywords : public policy; urban; urbanism; planning; Bolivia.
