Abstract

TASSI, Nico  and  POMA, Wilson. Paths of popular economy: popular economic circuits and regional reconfigurations. Temas Sociales [online]. 2020, n.47, pp.10-35. ISSN 0040-2915.

Visualizing emerging flows, paths and territories, the article encompasses the process of expansion of the popular economy in some countries of the region. It shows a reconfiguration of regional structures of supply and a heightened ability of popular economic actors to operate in multiple territories, markets and domains. This outlines an emerging cartography of off-the-map markets, roads and border towns often overshadowed in regional economic analyses, inducing us to reconsider the spaces and actors of the regional economy as well as the socioeconomic articulations among countries of the region.

Keywords : popular economy; economic circuits; emerging geographies.
