Abstract

FLORES QUISPE, Gumercindo. "New links" between the association of residents (El Alto) and the agrarian union in Cairoma. Temas Sociales [online]. 2020, n.46, pp.34-64. ISSN 0040-2915.

The article analyzes, via a case study, the persistence of the urban residents' association up till the present day, creating a close relationship among its members through economic contributions, and their subordination to the peasant union organization in Cairoma. Those affiliated to the residents' association maintain cohesion with the aim of retaining rights to land, to housing and access to commercial activity in the weekly market in their community of origin.
