Abstract this qualitative research analyses the migratory experiences of twelve highly qualified Bolivian women residing in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona in Spain. It takes into consideration factors related to the type of migratory project, family situation, professional and employment profiles, legal situation and years of residence in Spain in order to analyse the barriers they face and the strategies they develop for employment mobility in the Spanish labour market.
