Abstract These propose paper is a response to an article written by professor Alison Spedding on the Journal Temas Sociales (UMSA) untitled "Racism's rationality; comments on a lack of a debate" (2013). In these article Spedding's demands refer to (1) the discussion and validity on the "racial" analytical category, (2) the assessment of the theoretical status and grounds of ethnic and racial concepts and (3) the resolution of the links between the Bolivias's colonial condition and the contemporary racism are debated and responded
