Abstract The study, based on qualitative and quantitative information, analyzes the knowledge, attitudes and practices about gender violence in university students of the 13 Faculties of the UMSA. One of the main findings of this report sta-tes that both men and women engage in aggressive behavior. That is, gender violence is bi-directional. The research was coordinated by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and implemented by the Institute for Sociological Research (IDIS) and the Institute for Theoretical and Applied Statistics (IETA). Psychological violence is the most common, identifying as the main situations the following: humiliation, devaluation, ridicule and ridicule, insults, shouting, threats and jealousy. It is also mentioned as factors of psychological violence to the fact that the visit of the relatives and / or friends is not allowed, that the couple decides on the clothes, the make-up and the hairstyle. The second form of violence identified is physical violence: punching, punching, punching, breaking bones, pushing, punching. The third form of violence identified by university students is sexual violence, which includes forcing a partner to have sex or to touch intimate parts without consent.
