Abstract

PINTO SARAVIA, Vladimir. BOLIVIAN (UN)EQUAL POPULATION AGEING PROCESS IN MUNICIPALITIES 1992 -2012. Temas Sociales [online]. 2016, n.39, pp.115-141. ISSN 0040-2915.

This article analyze the Bolivian population dynamics at municipal level during the last twenty years, with special attention to the characteristics of the population within a process of aging, by using longitudinal analysis of aging variables aging of census data 1992 2001 and 2012, by using REDATAM + SP for processing data for analysis and DevInfo for georeferencing. First the aging process is contextualized in the Latin America and the Caribbean and, second, aging variables are analyzed at municipal level, showing an aging process heterogeneous nationwide and largely focused on the region of the highlands and valleys, analyzing some newly established municipalities.
