Resumen

HOLGUIN ALVAREZ, Jhon Alexander  y  RODRIGUEZ CASTILLO, Marcos Fabris. Causal Inferences of Teachers Reading Text with Causal Implication and Sentential Subordination. Fides Et Ratio [online]. 2017, vol.14, n.14, pp.75-98. ISSN 2071-081X.

The research describes the experimental study in causal inferences during the reading of short texts of teachers (expert readers) of the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima (N = 36). We compared the inferences of three groups of readers of two types of text (Case 1: sentence connective nexus, n = 14 and case 2: sentences with subordinate structure, n = 14) and a control group (n = 11). The aim of the study was to evaluate causal inferences under the comprehension approach during reading (McKoon and Ratcliff), with the purpose of the usual readers to generate a local coherence of comprehension of the text, to which are added the proposals of sentence subordination Of Belart (2004) and Sorókina (2008). The results reveal that the causal inferences are more accurate in subjects who read texts with sentence relations than those readers of texts with subordinate clauses (F (35) = 0.74, x (hits) = 11.56, SC (successes) = 130.2; P <.01), and reading and response time were significant mediators in the realization of these inferences (p <.05).
