ABSTRACT The following article seeks to explain the importance of Critical Didactics. According to the teaching and research experience of the author, the liberation wave that informs critical didactics is considered as a conceptual tool required to face a complex world. This theoretical instrument conceptually enlightens teachers so that they can understand their actions by virtue of comparison between the theoretical background and their attitudes and actions inside the classroom. It is assumed that this approach involves the interpretation of the professional practice, which will result in a larger awareness and understanding of the "what", "why" and "what for" of teaching. This article intends to provide theoretical tools for the teachers that allow to link theory and practice.
