One of the problems generated by COVID-19 in the education sector was the suspension of face-to-face classes and the massive closure of schools, evidencing the gaps that exist in terms of equal opportunities and access to education. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to analyze the opportunities and challenges of the hybrid education model in the post-pandemic context. A systematic review was carried out using the PRISMA statement, under the search equation hybrid education as the main variable, the search was carried out in databases such as ProQuest, Scopus, Scielo, Dialnet and Redalyc; the search criteria being original articles published in scientific journals in the last five years, both in Spanish and English. It is concluded that hybrid education is an alternative to mitigate the educational crisis that the traditional educational system is going through as a consequence of the pandemic; this methodology is valuable when working with pedagogical models of teaching and learning. It is necessary to pay attention to teachers in the development of competencies under this modality.
