Abstract This paper analyses the usefulness of audiobooks in the Bolivian University System. To this end, the author sets out to reach the general objective by analyzing the virtual libraries of all national public universities and some internationally representative universities. This, by exploring the type of material offered online and systematizing the information acquired through the use of quantitative data. The results show the lack of audiobooks in the portals of Bolivian universities of study and the need for their use for the democratization of the higher education system
