Employment opportunities in higher education have been reviewed in areas ranging from access to education to labor market insertion. It is also associated with other factors, such as gender bias, labor conflicts, access to education, female inclusion, labor discrimination, employability. Therefore, the objective was to analyze labor opportunities and their impact on higher education. A bibliographic study was conducted taking Scielo, Scopus and Dialnet as references, from Latin America from 2016 to March 2021, around the problems associated with job opportunities in higher education in different countries. It is concluded that labor discrimination, access to education, labor market insertion, influence the job placement of university students upon graduation from higher education institutions.
