LINKS BETWEEN THE PERCEPTION OF YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 17 TO 22 ON THE BEAUTY IDEALS SHOWN ON THE SOCIAL NETWORKS INSTAGRAM/TIK TOK AND THE IMPACT ON THE CREATION OF THEIR CONTENT

Resumen La investigación surge a partir de la observación de las redes sociales Instagram/TikTok, y como gran cantidad de contenido está basado específicamente en el físico, mostrando cientos de características de ideales de belleza. Estos fueron impuestos en la sociedad desde hace años, actualmente se cree que han cambiado o desaparecido. De este modo, se plantea el objetivo general que es: establecer los vínculos entre la percepción de los jóvenes de 17 a 22 años, sobre los ideales de belleza mostrados en las redes elegidas y su incidencia en la construcción de contenido dentro de estas. Siguiendo una metodología mixta, se realizan encuestas, entrevistas y análisis de contenido. Esta investigación encuentra que los jóvenes consumen ideales de belleza, dentro de las aplicaciones estudiadas, normalizan y adaptan contenido que producen, además perciben estos estereotipos como suyos, cuando en realidad llevan siglos en la sociedad.

Abstract The research arises from observing the social networks Instagram/Tik Tok and how a large amount of content is based specifically on the physique, showing hundreds of characteristics of beauty ideals. These were imposed on society for years, currently it is believed that they have changed or disappeared. In this way, the general objective is set which is : to establish the links between the perception of young people between 17 and 22 years old, on the ideals of beauty shown in the chosen networks and its impact on the construction of content within them. Following a mixed methodology, surveys, interviews and content analysis are carried out. This research finds that young people consume ideals of beauty, within the studied applications, they normalize and adapt the content they produce, and they also perceive these stereotypes as their own, when in reality they have been in society for centuries.

POLITICAL WOMEN ON TWITTER: THE CASE OF MARIANA GÓMEZ DEL CAMPO AND FRANCIA MÁRQUEZ

Resumen El presente artículo busca comprender la construcción de identidades de la mujer política a partir de las narrativas generadas en Twitter del 2018 al 2022 (Caso Mariana Gómez del Campo y Francia Márquez). La metodología utilizada consistió principalmente en el análisis de los mensajes emitidos por políticas latinoamericanas, con base en tres categorías principales: comportamiento, tipo de opinión y aporte al diálogo. Se destaca que el ámbito político ha estado compuesto mayormente por hombres, pero que la participación femenina ha aumentado gracias a las "cuotas de género". En cuanto a Twitter, se concluye que es una herramienta importante para la participación política activa y para fomentar la igualdad de género.

Abstract This article seeks to understand the construction of identities of political women based on the narratives generated on Twitter from 2018 to 2022 (Mariana Gómez del Campo and Francia Márquez Case). The methodology used consisted mainly of the analysis of messages issued by Latin American female politicians, based on three main categories: behavior, type of opinion and contribution to dialogue. It is highlighted that the political sphere has been composed mostly of men, but that female participation has increased thanks to "gender quotas." Regarding Twitter, it is concluded that it is an important tool for active political participation and to promote gender equality.

RETURNING TO THOSE WHO WANT TO LEAVE: COMMENT INTERACTION ON THE YOUTUBE VIDEO S.E “떠나려 하는 모든 이에게” (TO ALL THOSE WHO WANT TO LEAVE)

Resumen La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la interacción de los comentarios en el video “떠나려 하는 모든 이에게” (A todos los que quieren irse) del canal “새던” (Sedawnn) en YouTube en el mes de abril del año 2021. Este video fue un caso de éxito de una comunidad virtual formada con el fin de consuelo en medio de los altos índices de suicidio y aislamiento social en Corea del Sur. Con una muestra deliberada de 253 comentarios, se aplicó una metodología cuantitativa utilizando las tres variantes de análisis de contenido para sacar los resultados: temática, semántica y de red. La interacción en este espacio es expresiva y positiva en su actitud, interpersonal e informal en su habla, y complementaria y funcional en su modo de relación. Esto abre la discusión sobre la plataforma YouTube como potencial espacio de consuelo, así como la contribución de las redes sociales digitales en la comunicación para la salud mental.

Abstract The objective of this research is to analyze the interaction of the comments in the video “떠나려 하는 모든 이에게” (To all those who want to leave) of the channel “새던” (Sedawnn) on YouTube in April 2021. This video was a success story of a virtual community formed for the purpose of comfort amid the high rates of suicide and social isolation in South Korea. With a deliberate sample of 253 comments, a quantitative methodology was applied using the three variants of content analysis to obtain the results: thematic, semantic and network. The interaction in this space is expressive and positive in its attitude, interpersonal and informal in its speech, and complementary and functional in its mode of relationship. This opens the discussion about the YouTube platform as a potential space for consolation, along with the contribution of digital social networks in communication for mental health.

JÓVENES HIPERCONECTADOS: PRODUCCIÓN Y CONSUMO DE CONTENIDOS EN EL ENTORNO COMUNICACIONAL CONTEMPORÁNEO

Resumen: La academia está transitando hacia enfoques más complejos que descentran los medios de comunicación y las redes sociales como únicos generadores de consciencia. La investigación sobre jóvenes está desafiada a comprender los procesos culturales a partir de la perspectiva de los actores. Esta reflexión revisa literatura científica e identifica las variables: identidad, participación, uso de redes y desinformación; como relevantes. Las mismas se contrastan con los resultados de la investigación de campo realizada sobre jóvenes, en áreas urbanas y rurales, concluyendo que los jóvenes están desarrollando estrategias de sobrevivencia material y simbólica en función de intereses concretos e interpelan al mundo oficial adulto, debido a que éste pone en riesgo el futuro, en todos sus componentes sociales.

Abstract: Academia is moving towards more complex approaches that decentralize the media and social networks as the sole generators of consciousness. Research on youth is challenged to understand cultural processes from the perspective of the actors. This reflection reviews scientific literature and identifies the variables: identity, participation and disinformation; as relevant. It contrasts them with the results of field research conducted on young people in urban and rural areas, concluding that young people are developing material and symbolic survival strategies based on concrete interests and challenges the official adult world because it puts the future at risk, in all its social components.

COMMUNICATION RESEARCH AND PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYABILITY IN THE CURRENT CONTEXT: AN APPROACH FROM COMPLEXITY THINKING

Resumen: En este artículo, se aborda la importancia de las competencias de investigación en el campo de la Comunicación. Se examinan los perfiles profesionales de las carreras de Comunicación en universidades cochabambinas, evaluando su correspondencia con las demandas de los empleadores, considerando los sistemas de dotación de personal. La metodología incluye revisión bibliográfica y entrevistas con personal académico y empleadores de empresas, instituciones y entidades públicas. Los resultados demuestran que las competencias investigativas permiten obtener información relevante, identificar tendencias y necesidades del público objetivo, además de evaluar la efectividad de estrategias de comunicación. Se identifican los contrastes entre los enfoques de las universidades y las demandas de los empleadores, resaltando la importancia de la investigación para la toma de decisiones, el crecimiento económico y la generación de conocimientos en la sociedad. La investigación científica se posiciona como un factor clave para la innovación y el desarrollo en diversos ámbitos profesionales y sociales; por lo que, ofrece una ventaja para el acceso y promoción laboral.

Abstract This article addresses the importance of research skills in the field of Communication. The professional profiles of Communication majors in Cochabamba universities are examined, assessing their correspondence with the demands of employers, considering staffing systems. The methodology includes a bibliographic review and interviews with academic staff and employers from companies, institutions and public entities. The results demonstrate that investigative skills allow obtaining relevant information, identifying trends and needs of the target audience, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies. The contrasts between the approaches of universities and the demands of employers are identified, highlighting the importance of research for decision making, economic growth and the generation of knowledge in society. Scientific research is positioned as a key factor for innovation and development in various professional and social fields; Therefore, it offers an advantage for job access and promotion.

REPRESENTATIONS OF AIQUILES DEATH RITUALS IN THE FACEBOOK GROUP AIQUILEÑ@S X EL MUNDO’ DURING 2021

Resumen: El presente artículo tiene como objetivo determinar las representaciones de los rituales de muerte de Aiquile a través de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC) en el grupo de Facebook "Aiquileñ@s x el mundo" durante el 2021. Se lo identifica conociendo la intencionalidad de los administradores y los familiares al crear este tipo de contenido, publicaciones fúnebres, durante el tiempo de estudio y con el análisis de la percepción de los usuarios ante este tipo de publicaciones. Los datos se obtienen a través de entrevistas, análisis de contenido y encuestas. Por la naturaleza de las herramientas, la investigación responde a una metodología mixta y según la temporalidad es retrospectiva. Se concluye que los valores culturales del pueblo son representados en Facebook. La muerte crea un ambiente de solidaridad y empatía para acompañar a la familia doliente. Además, de ser una especie de obituario donde las personas expresan sus sentimientos ante el deceso de un familiar, un amigo, o un paisano.

Abstract The objective of this article is to determine the representations of Aiquile's death rituals through Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the Facebook group "Aiquileñ@s x el mundo" during 2021. It is identified by knowing the intentionality of the administrators and family members when creating this type of content, funeral publications, during the study time and with the analysis of the users' perception on this type of publications. Data is obtained through interviews, content analysis and surveys. Due to the nature of the tools, the research responds to a mixed methodology and according to the temporality, it is retrospective. It is concluded that the cultural values of the town are represented on Facebook. Death creates an environment of solidarity and empathy to accompany the grieving family. In addition, it is a kind of obituary where people express their feelings regarding the death of a family member, a friend, or a countryman.

Resumen: El presente artículo es una reseña, en tono literario y ensayístico, sobre el libro Silencios del nombre2 del poeta boliviano William Jonny Aguilar Pérez (Manuel Escarcha Polvorín). Los objetivos son anoticiar el poemario y examinarlo en determinados fragmentos mediante una interpretación libre y propia, para señalar algunos de sus valores generales y, en general, proponer una lectura concreta de la obra.

Abstract This article is a review, in a literary and essay tone, of the book Silencios del nombre (Silences of the Name) by the Bolivian poet William Jonny Aguilar Pérez (Manuel Escarcha Polvorín). The objectives are to announce the collection of poems and examine it in certain fragments through a free and own interpretation, to point out some of its general values and, in general, propose a specific reading of the work.
